What MatchLineup is

MatchLineup helps tennis team captains organize matches: captains post matches, players say whether they can play, and captains set lineups. Captains add players to a team roster with the player's name, mobile number, email address, and rating.

Information we collect

Name, mobile number, email address, NTRP rating, team membership, your availability responses, lineup assignments, personal schedule items you add, and — only if you connect it — read-only Google Calendar events for the next 30 days. We log the text messages we send (recipient, content, delivery status) and your SMS opt-in and opt-out events.

How we use it

To run your teams: asking for availability, sending reminders and lineups, detecting schedule conflicts, and showing captains who is available. Your information is visible to the captains and teammates of the teams you are on.

SMS / text messaging

MatchLineup sends SMS messages only to players who have opted in themselves, either by confirming their mobile number on their personal invite page or by texting START to our number (+18043761754). Messages include match availability requests, reminders, and lineup assignments from your captain. Message frequency varies with your team's schedule (typically 2–8 per month). Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time and HELP for help.

We do not share, sell, or provide your mobile phone number or messaging consent data to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of using MatchLineup or of any purchase.

Sharing

We do not sell personal information. Service providers that operate the app on our behalf (hosting, database, message delivery, and Google Calendar if you connect it) process data only to provide the service and may not use it for their own purposes. We disclose information when required by law. The SMS non-sharing commitment above applies regardless.

Google Calendar

If you connect Google Calendar, MatchLineup reads events from the calendars you select (read-only) to show them on your schedule and flag conflicts. Tokens are stored encrypted. Disconnecting removes the synced events and the stored tokens. MatchLineup's use of Google user data complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Your choices

You can change your availability answer at any time, edit your profile, turn texts off (STOP or your invite page), disconnect Google Calendar, or ask your captain to remove you from a roster.
